Responsibilities
- Set a positive example in daily actions, being accountable and adaptable while providing leadership and direction to department Supervisors and employees.
· Responsible for confirming the company’s alarm system is set in the offices and ensuring the yard is secure prior to leaving.
· Support company’s vision, set operations goals and through written correspondence and one-on-one interaction.
· Every morning, check-in with foreman and employees regarding plans for the day and results from previous day
· Follow up at the end of every night with a detailed email to the Production Manager, encourage feedback and settle outstanding issues.
· Quality control checks for walls and stair packages to be done twice daily.
· Ensuring equipment has daily inspection sheets completed and all equipment follows ZyTech’s maintenance standards.
· Ensuring all shipping and receiving documentation is completed correctly and accurately.
· Ensure photographs of all incoming/outgoing shipments are taken while ensuring each shipment is checked for accuracy and all waybills signed off and updated in the system.
· Completing a daily/weekly toolbox meeting with the production staff
· Coordinate the Unloading of shipments for upcoming inbound deliveries.
· Ensuring lumber piles are level and stock is put away the same day as arrival and in proper location.
· Conduct monthly safety meetings and monthly site inspections.
· Perform monthly physical inventory counts, reviewing overstocked items and completing variance reports.
· Approving all vacation requests and daily timecards for the Evening shift.
· Adhere to ZyTech’s safety, quality assurance and standard operating procedures and policies.
· Other tasks as assigned by your manager that are within the scope of your position.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Understanding of manufacturing and logistics operations
- Knowledge of computer software i.e. MS Office Suite
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Able to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
- Data entry skills would be an asset.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb.
- Steel-toed work boots and appropriate clothing to work outside are required, PPE (personal protective equipment) will be provided.
- Problem solving skills to structure workflow, identify and eliminate interdepartmental bottle necks.
- Ability to comprehensively understand blueprints (architectural, structural, and mechanical) with a strong understanding of manufacturing and logistics operations.
- Expertise in the rough framing and construction process
- Expertise in application of Prefab Walls, Stairs, Tall wall systems and conventional framing methods
- Ability to interpret and understand ZyTech shop, design, and placement documents.
- Knowledge of computer software i.e. MS Office Suite, BisTrack, ZyTrac, Mitek
- valid sit-down counter-balance rough terrain forklift ticket
