Class 3 Driver (AI)

Responsibilities
Work in conjunction with Shipping department and Production Manager regarding delivery and schedules.
Coordinate with Shipping department regarding material that is being returned from sites. Ensure proper documentation is completed for inventory.
Secures truck loads in accordance with industry standards, operating procedures and ensure documentation is prepared/checked and notify supervisor of any discrepancies. Load securement is a critical aspect to this role.
Always ensure to adhere to proper procedure regarding material storage. General housekeeping throughout the day.
Regularly inspect, maintain and service trucks, equipment and tools required.
Maintain electronic logbooks as per the ministry of transportation standards.
Other various duties may be required.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum driver age of 25 years.
Physically able to lift up to 50lbs throughout the day.
Must hold and maintain a valid Class 3 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
One year of commercial driving experience as well as experience with a truck mounted articulating crane would be considered an asset.
Minimum two years experience with flat deck load securement and over-dimensional loads, equivalent credentials and or experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Experience in a manufacturing environment as well as knowledge of lumber product is considered an asset.
CSA Steel-toed work boots and appropriate clothing to work outside are required. PPE (personal protective equipment) will be provided.
Successful candidates will be required to participate in pre-employment medical testing as a condition of employment as part of the offer for this role.
